You will serve as a MAINTENANCE SUPERINTENDENT in the PRODUCTION DIVISION of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.

Duties

Applies principles, methods, tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, monitoring, evaluating, and managing projects and resources, including technical performance. Identifies and analyzes problems; weighs relevance and accuracy of information; seeks/generates and evaluates alternative perspectives/solutions; makes timely/effective recommendations, based on potential implications of findings or conclusions. Utilize mishap notification and reporting procedures, investigation methods, and analytical techniques. Conduct root cause analyses to identify and correct root causes of mishaps and incidents. Knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools used for risk assessment and mitigation, including assessment of failures and their consequences. Organizes work, sets priorities, and determines resource requirements; determines short- or long-term goals and strategies to achieve them. Critically evaluates to identify the causes of problems and chooses courses of action that balance the interests of the mission and stakeholders. Coordinates with other organizations or parts of the organization to accomplish goals; monitors progress and evaluates outcomes.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: 1) Preform predominantly new work as well as maintenance and repair work on buildings, exterior and interior structures and related utilities, facilities and components; 2) Plan, layout and complete the installation, modification and repair of systems; 3) interpreting building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, engineering, drawings, and maintenance and repair manuals to plan and lay out the work and skill to use trade formulas to calculate common properties; and 4) Utilize safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment.
