THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT MECHANIC, Position Description Number PDD1063000, PDD0483000, and PDD0484000 and is part of the WY Army Aviation Support Facility, Wyoming Army National Guard. This is a Title 32 Dual Status Technician Excepted Service position. Military affiliation is required.

Duties

The purpose of this position is to act as the Aircraft Mechanic (Crew Chief) with responsibility for managing the operational readiness of one or more aircraft, and proficiency training of supported aviation unit personnel. Responsibilities include detailed technical oversight of individual aircraft's level of mission capabilities and projection of maintenance requirements to maintain individual aircraft operational readiness. (1) Manages, monitors or performs overall maintenance, servicing, inspections and documentation for one or more highly technical, high performance military aircraft. (2) Ensures Unit Level Logistics-Aviation ACN and other aircraft documentation accurately reflects status and airworthiness of assigned aircraft. (3) Prepares for and participates in various types of readiness evaluations, inspections, mobilization and support exercises. ** This is NOT an all-inclusive list of duties. **

Area 1: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) WY ARNG employees assigned to the AASF. Area 2: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming Army National Guard. Area 4: All current M-day soldiers of the Wyoming Army National Guard. Area 6: Current military members of the US Army, Army Reserves, or other states' Army National Guard units or prior service members of one of those military branches. Must be willing/eligible to join the Wyoming Army National Guard as a military member prior to appointment to position. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Work involves the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, overhaul, and modification of rotary wing aircraft systems, airframes, components and assemblies, where the work requires sufficient knowledge of the airframe and aircraft mechanical systems. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must possess experience or training that has provided the candidate with the skill to remove and replace aircraft parts, accessories, and components, and to make adjustments and settings according to established specifications. Must be skilled in the use of hand tools and test equipment. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: WG-10: Must possess experience or training installing, adjusting, aligning, troubleshooting and functionally testing the various major and minor mechanical systems on a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter. WG-11: Must possess experience or training as listed above AND one year experience performing as a WG-10 with no safety violations or ethical discrepancies. In addition, be a qualified and current air crew member or in the process of progressing to being an air crew member. WG-12: Must possess experience or training as listed above AND one year experience performing as a WG-11 with no safety violations or ethical discrepancies. In addition, be a qualified and current air crew member and possess the knowledge and experience to be on limited technical inspector orders. NOTE: Minimum Requirements and Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. Applicants must provide from (e.g., 02/2015 - 03/2017 or Feb 2017 - Mar 2017) dates and hours worked per week with description of your specialized experience on the resume. MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military grade and assignment prior to the effective date of placement. Must possess MOS 15T, Black Hawk Helicopter Mechanic. DRIVER'S LICENSE: Must possess a valid driver's license.
