This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.
It is in the Professional Work Category at the Entry/Developmental Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA Host and Compute Center, Requirements Control and Metrics Support Branch.
Duties
Prepares and/or presents reports, briefings, etc. about assigned services contracts.
Applies a variety of analytical techniques sufficient in order to study issues impacting certain activities and/or programs of the serviced organization.
Recommends actions by performing analyses on less complex aspects of the organization’s programs, and monitors segments of contracts or overall program operations.
Maintains diplomacy and tact, and develops written and oral communications, sufficient to clearly present work products and ensure accurate understanding by all concerned parties of the issues at hand.
Understands the interrelationships among the various directorates, as well as associations with external contractors and customers.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
- This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
- For this position you must complete initial qualification requirements to become a COR, and maintain COR qualifications by satisfying regulatory training requirements.
- This position may require travel away from the normal duty station on an occasional basis. Employees may be required to travel by regularly scheduled commercial passenger or military aircraft in the performance of their assignment.
- This position requires to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450 Executive Branch Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500.7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation.
Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-07, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For this position, qualifying experience is defined as experience assisting with assessing productivity, effectiveness, and efficiency of program operations and aiding in analyzing and resolving problems to ensure and enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of work activities and processes relating to contract functions, oversight, and requirements for an Information Technology (IT) organization.

Education
GG-07: Substitution of Education for Experience: One full year of graduate level education or Superior Academic Achievement may be substituted to meet the qualifying experience requirement.
