Duties
The duties, described below, represent the major duties performed at the GS-07 level. The duties performed for developmental positions will be of limited scope and complexity to develop skills, proficiency, and work experience.
Serves as Work Leader by providing individual and team training in specific tasks and job techniques and provides on-the-job training in accordance with established procedures and practices.
Identifies, distributes, and balances workload and tasks to team members in accordance with established workflow, and assures timely accomplishment of the assigned workload.
Make day-to-day adjustments to accomplish the workload in accordance with established priorities.
Provides updates to the supervisor on work progress and identifies training needs of the team.
Resolves simple, informal complaints of employees and refers other to supervisor.

- Time after Competitive Appointment: Candidates must have served 3 months after latest competitive appointment in the Federal service.

- Please note, this is NOT a 100% virtual/remote position where work may be performed from any location in the US. This position is eligible for local telework near the duty station of the position, subject to management review and approval.
Qualifications
Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. To be considered for the GS-06, applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-05 or higher in the Federal service. To be considered for the GS-07, applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-06 or higher in the Federal service.
Specialized Experience for GS-06: One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade GS-05 within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized experience is defined as: assisting in the review of work for technical adequacy and compliance with established policies and procedures; processing a wide variety of pay debt audits; assisting in debt calculations; examining and verifying all documents for propriety, completeness and accuracy; and running reports to help monitor workload.
Specialized Experience for GS-07: One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade GS-06 within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized experience is defined as: experience reviewing work for technical adequacy and compliance with established policies and procedures; processing a wide variety of complex military pay debt audits; determining debt calculations; examining and verifying all documents for propriety, completeness and accuracy; and running reports to monitor workload and providing technical support on standard procedures to coworkers.
You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
Education
GS-06 Substitution of Education for Experience: Six months of graduate education may be substituted to meet the specialized experience required when it is directly related to the work of the position being filled.

GS-07 Substitution of Education for Experience: One full year of graduate level education may be substituted to meet the specialized experience required when it is directly related to the work of the position being filled. Equivalent combinations of successfully completed graduate level education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements.
