This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Critical Hiring Needs to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: This position is with Department of Army, Expeditionary Civilian Workforce, Camp Atterbury, Edinburgh, Indiana.
Duties
Perform supply assistance duties supporting the issuance and turn-in of all issued equipment.
Operate a sedan, bus, and/or light truck to transport passengers.
Assist in ordering and receiving supplies and maintains records of inventories of government property on hand and turned in.
Requirements
- Pre-employment physical is required.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must hold a current valid state driver’s license.
- May require the employee to work overtime as well as other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends and/or holidays. Assignment schedules requires continuous availability in the event of emergencies.
- Must pass a urinalysis test prior to appointment and periodically thereafter due to operating a motor vehicle transporting one or more passengers on routine basis per AR 600-85.
- Lifting, bending, and carrying up to 40 pounds is required to accept and deliver supplies, mail, meals, and other items.
- Use of personal protective equipment may be required.
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized experience: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which includes conducting inventory of excess property and/or equipment; assisting in issuance and turn-in of equipment/supplies; entering data into an automated tracking system; operating up to 15 passenger vehicle. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
