This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Critical Hiring Needs to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is with Department of Army, Expeditionary Civilian Workforce, Camp Atterbury, Edinburgh, Indiana.

Duties

Perform supply assistance duties supporting the issuance and turn-in of all issued equipment. Operate a sedan, bus, and/or light truck to transport passengers. Assist in ordering and receiving supplies and maintains records of inventories of government property on hand and turned in.

Requirements

• Pre-employment physical is required.
• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must hold a current valid state driver’s license.
• May require the employee to work overtime as well as other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends and/or holidays. Assignment schedules requires continuous availability in the event of emergencies.
• Must pass a urinalysis test prior to appointment and periodically thereafter due to operating a motor vehicle transporting one or more passengers on routine basis per AR 600-85.
• Lifting, bending, and carrying up to 40 pounds is required to accept and deliver supplies, mail, meals, and other items.
• Use of personal protective equipment may be required.
• Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Specialized experience: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which includes conducting inventory of excess property and/or equipment; assisting in issuance and turn-in of equipment/supplies; entering data into an automated tracking system; operating up to 15 passenger vehicle. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Data ManagementSupply SupportTransportation Traffic Management and Distribution Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
