You will serve as a RESERVE ORDERS ASSISTANT in the Operations/Mobilization Department, N3/N7, at Navy Reserve Center NRC PHOENIX.

Duties

You will be responsible for serving as the Navy Reserve Order Writing System (NROWS) order processing subject-matter expert and Defense Travel System (DTS) and non-DTS coordinator. You will be responsible for processing training orders, modifications and cancellations for reservists assigned to the Command. You will be responsible for approving or disapproving funding, following up on outstanding obligations, analyzing training budgets and monitoring funding use. You will be responsible for providing guidance and assistance in creating and correcting order requirements and applications, and travel authorizations and vouchers. You will be responsible for assisting in administration of the Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) program through activation/deactivation accounts, processing and submitting applications. You will be responsible for providing Administrative Coordination for processing all Annual Training (AT), Active-Duty Training (ADT), Travel and Inactive Training Travel (IDTT) for Reservists assigned to the NRC.

Requirements

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-5 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience processing Annual Training (AT), Active-Duty Training (ADT) and Inactive Duty Training Travel (IDTT) orders, modifications, and cancellations for reservists as well as reviewing orders for justification, authorization, and accuracy against requirements. Experience providing administrative services concerning the Defense Travel System (DTS) program for official government travel in compliance with Joint Travel Regulations. Experience calculating base pay, housing allowances, COLA and other entitlements associated with military orders and travel authorizations. Experience using automated systems, such as Navy Reserve Order Writing System (NROWS), Defense Travel System (DTS), MS Office and similar, to enter, edit and extract data.
