About the Position: This position is in the Travis Air Force Base 60th Medical Group - Travis Air Force Base. The David Grant USAF Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, California, is the United States Air Force's largest medical center in the continental United States and serves military beneficiaries throughout eight western states.
Duties
Coordinates with DHA and DHN Central Headquarters to ensure messages and products are disseminated to
subordinate Markets and provides feedback as appropriate.
Evaluates reach and effectiveness of communications and adjusts plans/products as necessary to optimize
messaging content and delivery in support of organizational priorities.
Develops messaging, communications plans and supporting media and products for targeted audiences.
Formulates strategies for major issues, management and coordinates messages and theme development for
the both the Department of the Air Force (DAF) and Defense Health Agency (DHA).
Assesses media coverage of activities and recommends methods and techniques for disseminating information
that will increase public awareness and stakeholder support.
Oversees and provides guidance for all protocol aspects of both the Department of the Air Force (DAF) and
Defense Health Agency (DHA) ceremonies.
Requirements

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing and coordinating a public affairs program; developing communications strategies for public communication programs and delivering messages through multiple communications outlets; planning and executing a variety of special visits and other events.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11)
