You will serve as a Security Guard in the Security Department of NAVAL WAR COLLEGE~.
Duties
You will check credentials of personnel or vehicles to control access to base posts, buildings, private property, or restricted areas.
You will maintain security equipment to confirm proper working order and functionality.
You will use a computer system and software to prepare written reports of unusual situations and conditions encountered.
You will maintain radio communications with other patrol units or posts while providing continuous security of designated areas and buildings.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Controlling personnel access by verifying identification; 2) Patrolling buildings or perimeters for suspicious activity; and 3) Enforcing security measures required to protect personnel, materials and property.
