You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN) in the NAVY SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.

Duties

You will serve as an Information Management (IM) Technical Lead in the Information Systems and Technology Directorate. You will work with the System Design, Engineering, Configuration Management and Cyber Security teams to ensure proper documentation of all projects and systems; and to ensure successful completion of the Risk Management Framework (RMF). You will perform project management activities through all phases of the project lifecycle (initiation, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling and closing). You will serve IM/IT subject-matter-expert for planning, installation, configuration, testing, implementation, and management of the Enterprise Content/Document Management and Electronic Records Management.

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the excepted service which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: 1) Writing Statements of Work (SOW), Performance Work Statements (PWS), Independent Government Estimates (IGE), and other documentation relating to the acquisition IM/IT systems. 2) Evaluating new applications development and management technologies and their effect on the operating environment and ensuring new systems and applications meet security accreditation requirements. 3) Applying advanced policy and planning concepts and practices sufficient to manage IT projects in the IM discipline or relates IT systems and services; sufficient to plan, install, configure, test, implement and manage Enterprise Content/Document Management Systems.
