About the Position: This position is with the U.S. Army Garrison-Hawaii, Directorate of Public Works.


Serve as the Senior Administrative Management Support Officer directly supporting the Directorate of Public Works (DPW) Director, United States Army Garrison Hawaii (USAG-HI). Provide expert direction, assistance, and support for all operations and activities under the authority of the Directorate of Public Works Director. Oversee administrative support work produced by DPW Director's subordinate staff and the clerical/administrative support personnel. Independently coordinates/develops and formulates the annual administrative management support budget. Coordinate and administer manpower requirements and recommends internal policies as applicable. Determine productivity of program operations to effectively analyze and resolve problems in staffing efficiency of administrative support and support staff activities. Communicate the assignment, project or problem with deadlines and timeframes for completion. Provide administrative and personnel issues or actions affecting the organization and human resource management for a directorate of over 300 personnel. Lead and guide the team in the selection and application of appropriate problem-solving methods and techniques; identifies, distributes, and balances the workload and tasks among employees.

  • Temporary Duty (TDY) travel may be required up to 5% of the time.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance.
