Duties

Serve as Construction Control Representative with project lead and Contracting Officer Representative responsibilities for job site construction control of contract work. Monitor field engineering projects, construction inspection and/or construction management duties involving the erection of a new structure, the installation of equipment and systems. Manage the alteration or major repair of an existing structure and other contract types to include supplies and services. Projects are characterized by very novel and highly complex features that may be subject to conflicts and controversy, e.g., testing facilities, chemical labs, environmental mitigation, hazardous material/waste removal or similar projects.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
  • Due to the nature of this position, employees are required to work both planned and unscheduled overtime.
  • The employee must possess or have the ability to possess certification as Contracting Officer Representative (COR).
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position requires the employee to use personal protective equipment provided by the employer.
