You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the Product Support Division (Code D20) of the Digital Engineering Department (Code D00) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, Port Hueneme Division, Port Hueneme, California, or San Diego, California
Duties
You will serve as a Team lead supporting multiple programs and combat system elements, providing leadership of the ILS or Logistics Element Management functions and programs,
You will plan, execute, prepare, review, coordinate, or evaluate logistical actions in support of new systems acquisition or sustainment programs,
You will investigate and resolve Integrated Product Support (IPS) and Integrated Logistics support (ILS) program, system, and fleet issues,
You will provide recommendations for successful resolution through shore site testing and simulation, and appropriate shipboard and site verifications,
You will apply knowledge of system acquisition processes to guide financial, procurement, and management action through procurement to full logistics support for life cycle of the system,
You will prepare milestones, test plans, procedures, system analysis and data of the combat and weapon systems and associated systems,
You will lead personnel with a variety of logistics expertise in developing and implementing programmatic requirements from acquisition through phase out,
You will apply your expertise and experience with technical manuals, drawing review and distribution, supply support, inventory and maintenance planning, support and test equipment, training, and COTS obsolescence tracking and program management,
You will development task planning sheets, budget and task development, and support workload planning,
You will provide Technical Authority services in support of the Department COR on contracts oversight and management,
You will lead overall project schedules, maintain direct and professional relationships with key customers and stakeholders, and work with Branch Managers to ensure team members are effective and efficient,
You will hold periodic meetings to ensure expected products and services will be delivered on time and with the highest quality,
You will partner internally and externally, supporting collaboration and deconflicting of issues and schedules for developing solutions,
You will manage customer satisfaction, and solicit and respond to feedback often, in a regular and timely manner,
You will collaborate and partner with Subject Matter Experts and team members (engineers, logisticians and technicians) to effectively improve processes and products impacting combat and weapon systems programs and elements,
You will lead technical reviews of processes and products to support program, system, and project deliverables,
You will review schedules and milestones to assess workload and resource strategies and plans to identify and mitigate risks,
You will support and lead NAVSEA, Command, department, divisional, and branch objectives and goals to execute Continuous Process Improvement and achieve command and department strategic goals.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) planning and coordination (e.g., providing solutions to logistics related problems, developing reports of logistics requirements and budgets) to lead projects for combat or weapons systems acquisition and sustainment programs.
