Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Information and Technology, Field Support Directorate, Compliance and Oversight Division. Duties

In this Management and Program Analyst position you will become a key team member of Homeland Security professionals involved in providing expert advice on major mission and administrative programs requiring application of a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods to assess complex management and program processes and systems. This position starts at a salary of $103,409.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $134,435.00 (GS-13, Step 10) with promotion potential to $134,435.00 GS-13 Step 10). Duties include, but not limited to: Reviewing, coordinating, and overseeing all major department wide mission activities, in relation to software applications Developing, implementing, and monitoring management information systems focusing on long and short-range plans, policies, program goals, and objectives Designing and administering planning and controls for submission of data, including forming the basis of budget and program resources requests, decisions made, and the methodology used Providing technical assistance and direct support to senior-level executives on the design and implementation of a strategic planning system, utilizing CBP's application software Coordinating transitional data activities, analytical support on problem definition, planning methodologies, policies, and procedures of Field Technology Officers This pos.ion is located in the following locations: Lake Bluff, Illinois Indianapolis, Indiana New Orleans, Louisiana Slidell, Louisiana Portland, Maine Baltimore, Maryland Walled Lake, Michigan Bloomington, Minnesota Newark, New Jersey Buffalo, New York Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Fairfax, Vermont Ashburn, Virginia Norfolk, Virginia Location Preference: You may select up to TWO locations where you would be willing to work.

Qualifications

Experience: You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Advising and providing analytical support on problem definition, planning methodologies, policies, and procedures Developing effective data handling processes and standards in support of the office's line and administrative programs Organizing, developing, and coordinating management efforts through briefings, presentations, and conferences Determining the applicability and effect of new or proposed legislation, executive orders, CBP/OIT directives, and other department requirement decisions NOTE: Your resume must explicitly indicate how you meet this requirement, otherwise you will be found ineligible. You must: Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process; and Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 05/22/2024.
