Duties
As the ADAIGA of a major audit program under the direct supervision of the Assistant Inspector General for Auditing (AlGA) and the Deputy Assistant Inspector General for Auditing (DAIGA), the incumbent is responsible for directing and executing a comprehensive internal audit program for the audit and evaluation of GSA functions and activities for the purpose of evaluating the efficiency of operations, achievement of program results, and the adequacy and effectiveness of existing controls as reflected in the policies, systems, procedures, methods, and related practices dealing with the conduct and management of GSA’s complex national programs.

Qualifications
The GS-15 salary range starts at $163, 964 per year. This position has a positive education requirement: Applicants must submit a copy of their college or university transcript(s) and certificates by the closing date of announcements to verify qualifications. If selected, an official transcript will be required prior to appointment.
Basic Requirements: You must have either A or B, or C:
Degree in accounting or auditing
Degree including auditing courses in a related field such as business administration, finance, or public administration that included or was supplemented by 24 semester hours in accounting. The 24 hours may include up to 6 hours of credit in business law.
A combination of college level education and experience.
In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience must include comprehensive knowledge, understanding, and application of: professional governmental auditing standards; techniques for directing the work of individual auditors and managers leading evaluative teams; presenting complex issues to, and reviewing results with, high level program managers; and planning and conducting technically complex and comprehensive audits and reviews.
