The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) Directorate for Mission Integration (MI) creates a consistent and holistic view of intelligence from collection to analysis and serves as the Director of National Intelligence's (DNI) principal advisor on all aspects of intelligence. MI integrates mission capabilities, informs enterprise resource and policy decisions, and ensures the delivery of timely, objective, accurate, and relevant intelligence.
Duties
In coordination with NIM-EA, monitor efforts to assess the state of collection, analysis, intelligence operations, and resource gaps across the enterprise related to East Asia, including China and North Korea. Develop and asses East Asia related strategies to identify gaps, mitigate risk and develop metrics to ensure progress is being made.
Mastery knowledge on East Asia and expert executive-level experience with the IC's analytic and collection processes, policy development process, tradecraft programs, policies, and procedures.
Lead ODNI bilateral and multilateral intelligence engagements with East Asian foreign allies and partners, develop tailored intelligence products to support engagements, and synchronize strategic foreign partner engagements and activities across the IC.
Lead stakeholders and liaise with community elements to drive greater intelligence integration, perform outreach, and ensure resources and priority attention is given to targets.
Lead the planning, management, and coordination of strategic and tactical projects; oversee the planning and execution of action tasking associated with assigned projects and provide project status and reporting as a member of the senior leadership team.
Support opportunities to advocate for and defend resources related to the East Asia mission set to include hard target campaigns.
Build and apply deep expertise on intelligence coordination and collaboration.
Support efforts to integrate the IC and remove impediments to compartmented collaboration.
Lead assessments to leverage best practices and lessons learned. - Guide and monitor NIM-EA governance structures to ensure decisions are made through the appropriate channels.
Lead a professional staff in successfully defining and managing complex programs and projects that may include ill-defined requirements, ambiguity, parallel tasks, multiple dependencies, high risks, and multiple interfaces; ensure timelines, costs, deliverables, and outcomes are achieved according to approved plans
Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements:
Superior knowledge of IC organizations; IC mission posture, structures, capabilities, processes, and policy development related to the East Asia mission.
Superior leadership and mission management skills, with demonstrated ability to lead interagency working groups and build coalitions related to the East Asia mission.
Superior analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, including the superior ability to interpret complex information from multiple sources.
Superior ability to work effectively with ODNI leaders in a highly active, fast paced, and demanding organization.
Superior interpersonal skills and superior ability to work effectively in both independent and in a team or collaborative environment.
Superior experience leading and conducting intelligence engagements with East Asian foreign allies and partners.
Expert knowledge of China and North Korea issues and the IC's role in supporting these missions.
Desired Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in East Asia AOR, or closely related discipline.
