You will serve as a FIREFIGHTER (PARAMEDIC) in the office of NAVSTA MAYPORT.
Duties
You will detect the presence of potentially hazardous materials to maintain containment and control.
You will direct the placement of firefighting equipment to ensure maximum utilization in fire control, aircraft crash, or rescue operations.
You will perform crash-rescue and firefighter duties involving air traffic operations.
You will determine if and how a patient can be moved to a medical facility and by what means of transportation for the patient to get immediate medical assistance.
You will administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automatic external defibrillation (AED) for a patient
Requirements

- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- This position requires evening and weekend work.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Examples of 1) Providing fire prevention, fire protection, and fire suppression services; 2) Operating a wide variety of firefighting apparatus and equipment; 3) Responding to and/or mitigating hazardous materials incidents; and 4) Providing emergency medical care and/or basic, intermediate, and advanced life support measures

The following certifications are required; Firefighter I & II, Driver Operator-Aerial, Driver Operator- Airport Rescue Firefighter (AARF), Driver Operator- Mobile Water Supply, and Airport Firefighter, Driver Operator- Pumper, Hazmat Technician, Shipboard Firefighter, and National Registry EMT-P (Paramedic)
