You will serve as a Supervisory Financial Management Analyst in the Financial Management Community of ASN.
Duties
You will serve as the principal advisor to senior managers on the development, implementation, and revision of financial management policies, plans, and programs to achieve the mission of the organization.
You will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration.
You will generate, recommend, and implement new and revised financial management concepts, internal controls, methodologies, policies, and strategies in support of the organization’s programs.
You will direct and/or perform execution review, analysis, and appraisal of the major operating and support programs within the organization.
You will prepare briefs for senior managers on program execution and provide recommendations to correct program variances or problem areas.
You will provide interpretive and analytical advice on financial transactions and program execution.

- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- This is a Financial Management Level III certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
-Experience with budget review and formulation for a large organization;
-Experience developing appropriation language and preparing appeals and Congressional markups;
-Experience with budget execution, monthly financial statement, and reconciliation of accuracy and cleanup.
