Serves as a recognized senior technical specialist and agency expert in planning, organizing and evaluating the Directorate’s programs concerning Aeronautical Information Services.

Duties

Serves as a recognized senior technical specialist and agency expert in planning, organizing and evaluating the Directorate’s programs concerning Aeronautical Information Services to ensure adequacy, standardization and conformance to policies and standards. The specialist provides advice and counsel to staff and organizational leadership on matters related to the development, coordination, integration, and delivery of Aeronautical products and services.

Requirements

  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

  • Successful completion of security investigation may be required.

Qualifications

To qualify at the FG/GS-14 (FV-J) level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of Specialized Experience equivalent to the FG/GS-13 (FV-I) level. Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized Experience includes: Development, maintenance and revision of terminal/enroute instrument flight procedures (IFPs); ensuring IFPs are coordinated and integrated in the NAS and provide for safe operation of aircraft; experience involved with collection, selection, analysis, evaluation, and preparation of reliable aeronautical information on navigation and related operations, including publications related to navigation, delivering technical and non-technical information to a diverse audience; experience serving as project manager for multidisciplinary production activities.Applicants should include examples of specialized experience in their work history.Qualifications must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.
