You will serve as a FACILITIES SERVICES ASSISTANT (MARINE) in the PORT OPERATIONS PROGRAM of NB CORONADO.
Duties
You will maintain schedules for repair of marine equipment (e.g., brows, platforms) or facilities.
You will monitor maintenance work requests and determines proper course of action.
You will respond to telephone inquiries regarding facility service issues.
You will draft emails concerning facility maintenance
You will use computer programs (e.g., Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel) to maintain an automated inventory of equipment or locations for instant ship berthing use.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- Incumbent must be able to acquire and maintain a forklift license upon hiring.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assisting Harbor Pilots with efficient berthing, loading, and unloading of ships at marine facilities; 2) Applying knowledge of pier berthing spaces and facilities to advise of available services and limitations rationale; 3) Coordinating marine facilities operation by tracking marine equipment inventory and scheduling marine facilities/equipment maintenance using computer systems; and 4) Serving as a pier safety representative conducting pier inspections, maintaining safety certifications, and monitoring proper handling of hazardous materials.
