About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located with HQDA G-2, Resource Integration Directorate, Manpower and Audit Division- Budget Execution at the Pentagon, Arlington, VA.
Duties
Serves as the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS), G-2 Senior Program Analyst for Audit Focal Point and Audit Readiness of the Army Intelligence Security Enterprise (AISE).
Performs a wide range of challenging duties related to Program Analysis, Military Intelligence (MI) and select security programs, Army Audit Readiness, and the DoD Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) Plan.
Responsible for audit and attestation engagement announcements, coordination requests, audit and attestation reports, and other audit-related requests pertaining to ODCS, G-2 and the AISE.
Distributes reports or other audit-related requests to appropriate offices for action or comment and monitors the preparation of command replies to ensure they are responsive and timely.
Serves as the G-2 point of contact for all audits and evaluations of intelligence and security activities conducted by other agencies to include advising formulating responses with G-2 staff elements, HQDA, and DoD level intelligence activities.
Oversees the G-2 programs for audit readiness and sustainment, consulting and advisory services, risk management, liaison with external audit organizations, audit compliance and follow-up.
Coordinates all reviews and audits between DCS, G-2 and external oversight organizations.
Accountable for planning, organizing, and overseeing the completion of all program and project management activities related to Audit Readiness.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance with eligibility for Special Compartmented Information (SCI) access based on a T5 (or equivalent) investigation.
- May perform temporary duty (TDY) travel in CONUS or OCONUS up to 25% of the time.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the Federal service (GG/GS-13).
