About the Position: Performs administrative and professional work requiring the application of accounting, budgeting and manpower principles, theories, concepts, and practices to ensure that financial management, manpower, and accounting systems produce accurate results and meet legal and regulatory requirements.
Duties
Review and approve expenditures to ensure they are legal, proper, correct, within the local operating budget, and in accordance with the appropriate laws, regulations, and guidelines.
Perform special studies, analysis, and/or audits to identify accounting, budget, and manpower deficiencies.
Review and approve transactions for accuracy, legal compliance, and budget agreement within financial and personnel focused databases.
Draft briefings to summarize manpower, accounting, and/or budget issues and/or impact of policy changes.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in federal service to includes:1) Utilize data systems and analytical software to exhibit data. 2) Approve financial transactions such as obligations, expenditures, reimbursements, transfers, and distributions. 3) Use oral and written communication to resolve customer related issues.
