This position serves as a Laborer with the Facility Management Department of the Pine Ridge Service Unit in Pine Ridge, SD. The incumbent performs various laboring duties such as grounds maintenance, cleaning, general maintenance tasks. The position reports to the Hospital Maintenance Worker Supervisor.

Duties

Performs general maintenance and ground maintenance tasks. Performs cleaning tasks as assigned and reports any problems or situations. Counts and stocks supplies in store rooms. Assists maintenance staff with preventative maintenance and repairs, cleans work areas after repairs or renovations. Performs other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates for this position will be evaluated under the federal wage system job grading standards for WG-3500. No specific length of experience is required. Your qualifications will first be evaluated against the prescribed screen out element. Failure to meet the screen out element will result in an ineligible rating. SCREEN-OUT ELEMENT: Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision. Physical effort will be needed to perform the duties of the position. Must be able to frequently lift and pull heavy items weighing over 50 pounds. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
