About the position: This position will be assigned to the Strike Zone Bowling Center located at Columbus AFB .
This is a FLEXIBLE position. Flex positions are guaranteed zero hours per week but may work up to 40
Duties
Operates the control desk, collects fees, sells pro shop and counter merchandise. Ensures that the counter merchandise is stocked and available. Conducts inventories. Ensures that spectator area and scores tables are kept clean and orderly, that inside and outside areas are properly policed. Secures the safe and building upon closing. Ensures that unauthorized personnel do not enter the areas behind the setter equipment and sales counter. Calls Security Forces in case of disturbances. Prepares a report for the manager, of any incident. Monitors league play ensures that lanes are clear and cleaned before league play. Ensures that customers are treated in a courteous manner and given assistance. Ensures that equipment is not abused, and that house balls and shoes are not removed from the Bowling Center. Clears minor pinspotter problems such as ball calls and pin jams. Complies with Federal and State Dram Shop statutes. Performs other related duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Practical knowledge of bowling activities, rules, and procedures is desirable, but not required. Knowledge of cash register operating is desirable, but not required. Must meet the minimum age requirement for serving alcoholic beverages. Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier-1 background investigation.

Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
