This position is for Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum, New York. FMWR includes Child and Youth Services, Business Recreation, and Support Services, which enable Soldier readiness, support the resiliency and well-being of Soldiers and Families. Duties

Registers patrons, processes overdues and reserves, assists with interlibrary loans and reserves, shelves library materials, prepares displays, programs activities, answers basic reference questions, and assists customers in locating materials. Provides technical services support in a variety of functions such as basic/copy cataloging, ordering/receiving/processing and de-acquisitioning of library materials. Assists in maintaining accountability records and in performing shelf inventories. Performs simple maintenance on the library's automated systems.

• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.

• This position requires a favorably adjudicated T1/NACI background investigation
• Must be willing to accept intermittent employment.
• Work schedule will be irregular. The incumbent will be required to work, nights, weekends, holidays and/or special events.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will possess one of the following: one (1) year of specialized experience performing the following duties: Follow basic and well-established library procedures, perform duties related to circulation, acquisition, disposal of library materials, as well as collection, maintenance and preservation of books, OR possess two (2) years of education above high school (TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE UPLOADED AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION), OR possess a combination of the experience (as identified in question #1 - ex: six (6) months) and education (as identified in question #2 - ex: one (1) year) that equates to 100% of the qualification requirements (TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE UPLOADED AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION).
