You will serve as an AIRCRAFT OVERHAUL AND REPAIR SUPERVISOR in the Industrial Execution Department FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.

Duties

You will assign work to artisans through subordinate leaders indicating methods and equipment to be used. You will track and monitor all work with in assigned areas, looking for cost overruns, inefficiency, incorrect workload standards, training, deficiencies, support deficiencies, etc. You will take steps to resolve problems by determining the cause, finding solutions and taking corrective action. You will observe work in progress to assure on time completion and verify the quality going into the product You will maintain administrative records for employees to include time and attendance, man hours expended and labor attestations. You will participate in the hiring or promotion process of candidates by serving as a rating panel member or serving as an EEO representative.

  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
  • Position is subject to various noise levels, with continuously exceed 85 DBA and often exceed 105 DBA.
  • Temporary promotions may be extended up to 5 years at the discretion of management and in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • Temporary actions taken under this announcement may be made permanent without further competition.
