This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library. This position performs a variety of technical duties in connection with the management of the museum collection, including inventorying, registration, documentation and digitization of museum objects. Duties also include exhibit work, public outreach and professional support within and outside the department.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: For the GS-5, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-4 grade level. This experience must be related to the operation or management of a museum or similar collection of valuable objects. For this position, specialized experience is defined as experience: Following established procedures while handling objects of historical or cultural significance; AND Assisting in cataloging or inventorying objects in museum collections. OR EDUCATION: Successful completion of 4 years above high school leading to a bachelor's degree with major study or 24 semester hours of course work in a related field. Related fields of study include art, history, museum studies, scientific subjects, or other courses related to the position to be filled.
