Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Operations Support, Law Enforcement Safety & Compliance Directorate located in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia

Duties

The Law Enforcement Safety and Compliance Directorate (LESC) is dedicated to optimizing the safety, readiness, accountability, and operational performance of CBP law enforcement personnel. In this position you will be developing the use of force policy, maintaining appropriate controls and standards, and supplying the highest quality education and training, weapons and other officer-safety equipment. This position starts at a salary of $163,964.00 (GS-15, Step 1) to$191,900.00 (GS-15, Step 10) with promotion potential to $191,900.00 GS-15Step 10).

Experience: You qualify for the GS-15 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Providing program direction and support to one or more programs such as operations or training. Coordinating with high level supervisor/manager, identifying and resolving unique issues where no policy exist, taking innovative actions to address new news and or/ issues. Establishing unit area of responsibility, and sets priorities and deadlines to meet objectives and goals. Assisted in planning, directing, coordinating, assigning, organizing, and evaluating work activities. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Probationary Period: Current and former federal employees may be required to serve or complete a probationary period.
