As an Administrative Specialist supporting the Administrative Support & Analysis Branch (ASAB) you will be responsible for a wide variety of analytical, human resources, administrative, and associated management support services for the organization(s) to which assigned. You will conduct analytical studies requiring the identification and resolution of issues and problems of administrative support functions.
Duties
Works on all aspects of the Center’s Purchase Card Team to provide direction, instruction, and guidance to team members with expert knowledge of the Agency/Center procurement procedures, operations, and regulations.
Participates in overseeing the Center’s Purchase Cardholder Allotment, reviewing monthly NSSC reports to ensure efficient cardholder slot utilization/providing recommendations for slot closures or swaps in consultation with customer organizations.
Independently executes administrative management tasks that meet various organizational needs, ensuring effective control over deadlines, progress reports, and databases.
Collects data and creates and maintains data bases that reflect the status of administrative requirements or various items of interest to management to provide accurate, timely custom reports as required.
Reviews administrative directorate products to ensure timely submission, proper format, adherence to criteria and responsible for keeping managers informed of changes in policy or administrative requirements and assuring management adherence.
Communicates, interprets, and advises on human resources policies, regulations, and procedures. Keeps managers informed of the status of on-going personnel actions.

- Current Federal employees must meet qualifications, time in grade, and 90 days after competitive appointment requirements by the closing date of the announcement.
Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify for GS-11, you must have:
a) One year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level:
Reviewing administrative products to ensure timely submission, proper format, and adherence to given criteria;
Performing administrative management tasks to meet organizational requirements, ensuring proper control of deadlines, progress reports, and databases;
Collecting data and create/maintain databases.
OR
b) Completed all requirements for a doctoral degree (i.e., Ph.D. or equivalent) in an appropriate field
OR
c) Completed 3 full academic years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or equivalent doctoral degree in an appropriate field
OR
d) LL.M., if related
OR
e) Have an equivalent combination of experience and graduate study as discussed in a), b), c) and d) above
