This position is in Office of Land and Emergency Management (OLEM); Office of Superfund Remediation and Technology Innovation (OSRTI); Assessment and Remediation Division; Community Involvement and Program Initiatives Branch. About OLEM. Qualifications

NOTE:  You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement. To qualify for the GS-14 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level defined as experience in developing, implementing and managing Superfund community involvement projects, including developing Superfund community involvement policies and procedures, evaluating resource development and support needs for communities and regional Superfund staff. Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:  Knowledge of CERCLA and Superfund policies, guidance Ability to communicate technical information to various audiences Ability to lead the development of projects and initiatives Skill in developing policies Ability to write and develop policies, procedures and guidance containing technical information Ability to communicate technical information to various audiences Knowledge of CERCA and Superfund policies and guidance Skill in developing policies on Superfund redevelopment issues Skill in developing policies on Superfund community involvement issues Ability to evaluate the limits of present and emerging issues and problems to determine the long-term needs Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
