You will serve as a ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT REPAIRER in the FACILITY AND INFIRSTRUCTURE MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT of FLTREADCEN EAST.

Duties

You will troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical power and lighting lines, cables, and associated parts of circuits. You will answer emergency calls, locate problems and repair equipment. You will disassemble electric motors, locate and repair defects, clean and replace bearings, renews wiring, brushes and insulating parts as necessary. You will initiate action for the procurement of replacement parts, new parts, or missing parts.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION. 1) Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical power distribution systems including lighting lines, cables, wiring, switches, outlets, fuse and breaker boxes, transformers, converters, secondary generators, electric motors, various automatic controls, etc.; 2) Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manual and automatic controls of electrically powered industrial equipment such as swaging machines, cranes, hoists, and compressors; 3) Inspect and test equipment for proper operation; 4) Replace defective wiring; 5) Disassemble electric motors; 6) Work from electrical/electromechanical blueprints, manufacturers' manuals, and schematics; 7) Use knowledge of the National Electric Code and applicable trade experience to lay out and install heavy commercial or industrial circuits.
