Duties
This position serves as an Air Conditioning Mechanic at Coast Guard Base Portsmouth. Specific knowledge must be demonstrated in the air conditioning trade including knowledge of the principles of air conditioning, the ability to recognize and determine the best method for correcting malfunctions and the skill to make repairs to a variety of air conditioning and cooling unit systems.Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- The position requires a valid state driver's license.
- Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- May be subject to recall to make emergency repairs.
- Must be universal certified by an EPA certification program.
- Applicant is required to meet the physical requirements of the position.
- This position may require a one year probationary period.
Qualifications
