You will serve as a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN (PHARMACY) in the DEPARTMENT OF LABORATORY ANIMAL RESOURCES of UNIF SRVS UNI OF THE HLTH SCI.
Duties
You will coordinate the pharmaceutical supply needs for faculty and research at USUHS and several offsite campus locations.
You will identify sources, place orders, receives, issues, stores and secures items.
You will identify and dispose of unused and expired pharmaceuticals.
You will maintain requisition files and utilize an established Pharmacy computer program to manage transactions and maintain current inventory.
You will evaluate and resolve issues (i.e. procurement, storage, distribution, security, etc.) and controls actions in an inventory management function for all pharmaceuticals
You will revise and/or develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for a variety of routine processes that are unique to Pharmacy Supply Center operations as assigned.
You will assist researchers and faculty in understanding and complying with guidelines and regulations relating to controlled substances, regulated chemicals and alcohol.
You will maintain a central file for all controlled substance custodian appointment letters, training dates and current protocols involving the use of controlled substances.
You will ensure that customer appointment letters, training dates and protocols are current prior to initiating a transaction involving controlled substances.
You will coordinate with the Controlled Substances Audit Inventory Board (CSAIB) for the annual audit of controlled substances, regulated chemicals and alcohol stored in the Pharmacy and in various labs throughout the university.
You will utilize the University's financial management systems (i.e., GFEBS, DAI, or any other designated financial system) to enter, monitor, and track financial expenditures, obligations, and transactions.
You will identify and reconcile user accounts with insufficient funds to purchase pharmacy supplies and communicates with higher officials to obtain overdue funds.
Requirements

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: assisting in the purchase, inventory, maintenance of supplies, materials, or equipment for an organization.

Education
In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of one full year of graduate level education that is directly related to the position being filled
OR
A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
