You will serve as a LEAD REGION INSPECTOR/INVESTIGATOR in the REGION INSPECTOR GENERAL OFFICE of COMNAVREG SE JAX. Duties

You will conduct internal and/or external investigations, inquiries, or audits related to national security matters. You will lead a team in identifying, distributing and balancing work load and tasks among employees in accordance with occupational specialization. You will prepare written reports of investigations and inspections for management to take corrective action. You will conduct inspections of programs to check compliance with regulatory standards.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport or valid driver's license.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Leading a team in identifying, distributing and balancing work load and tasks among employees in accordance with established work flow, skill level and/or occupational specialization: 2) Managing investigations and inquires in matters of fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement of programs throughout the command; 3) Interceding on behalf of the team to inform upper management of progress and work accomplished by team members. 4) Independently plans and conducts investigations to standards of independence, completeness, timeliness and accountability in accordance with guidance; and 5) Investigating improper conduct or procedures while keeping the Commander advised on the general morale and welfare of the command.
