About the Position: You will serve as the District Logistics Manager (DLM) and advisor to the District Commander / Center Directors and staff concerning logistics support functions.

Duties
Supervises a team of GS and wage grade employees in achieving and supporting specific tasks related to USACE owned and/or leased facilities, the personal property maintenance program, supply programs and transportation programs.
Performs staff visits and customer assistance visits to field activities to provide technical assistance and to monitor status of program execution in all areas of logistics management.
Provides budgetary recommendations to the Regional Logistics Manager (RLM) concerning logistics operating budget for the Districts Logistics Office and recommends allocation and reallocation of funds to meet mission needs.
Administer plans and procedures, and implements regulations to support continuing and effective logistical operations for organizations and employees housed primarily in an office environment.
Manages the assigned real property management program to include all facilities except the civil works project specific property; e.g. locks, dams and power plants.
Identifies training needs, coaches and mentors staff members in problem solving and work methods, resolves complaints of employees and effects minor disciplinary measures.
Performs logistics internal management control reviews and QA assessments of project sites and operations for compliance and assurance that proper controls are in place, operational, and effective to properly manage all Corps logistics assets.

- Must complete CES Foundation Course and Supervisory Development Course within 12 months of employment.
- This position has been designated as a Mission Essential (e.g., snow emergency days, holidays, increased security periods, national emergency - mobilization of forces).
- May be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Specialize Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in providing technical guidance on a wide range of logistics management functions such as supply and hand receipt support, personal property maintenance, transportation, and/or facilities operations; allocating resources for logistic, supply, maintenance, and transportation programs; and preparing budget estimates for logistical requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
