About the Position: This position is with U.S. Army Sustainment Command (ASC), 404th Army Field Support Brigade (AFSB)-Logistics Readiness Center Detroit located on Detroit Arsenal, Michigan.
Duties
Implements Property Management Functions to include primary hand receipt for installation tenants.
Applies comprehensive knowledge of supply management concepts and principles in the areas of hand receipt maintenance, inventory and storage management.
Identifies hand receipt holders to be appointed for accountable property; instructs per prescribed property accounting procedures.
Oversees, schedules and processes annual physical inventories for all property maintained on units primary hand receipt.
Designs and conducts a variety of studies and analyses to determine organizational requirements for property accounting.
Utilizes electronic systems such as Financial Liability Investigations of Property Loss (eFLIPL).
Utilizes automated logistics system such as Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army.)
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent to possess o obtain and maintain a Tier 1 (NACI) security investigation.
- This position may require the incumbent to travel (TDY) up to 10% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes:: 1) applying supply guidance (i.e. principles, concepts, regulations) to support organizational supply missions; 2) report supply discrepancies identified during inventory records; 3) examining documents for accuracy with established procedure and 4) maintaining record keeping related to unit supply such as ordering, receipt, storage, issue, etc. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Supply chain Management or Inventory Management. (NOTE: You must attach a copy of your transcripts for verification).
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.(NOTE: You must attach a copy of your transcripts for verification).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
