Duties
You will be responsible for routine administrative duties to support inspection, maintenance and testing of WHE assigned to NAVFAC MIDLANT North East (NE) Region, consisting of New London, and New Port RI.
You will be required to coordinate WHE Equipment History Files (EHF's) between inspectors, mechanics, supervisors, and Certifying Officials.
You will be required to track WHE certifications, due dates, level loading, develop shop orders and other maintenance documents as required.
You will ensure correspondence is properly documented to support all inspection maintenance and certification actions including tracking and entries in MIS data systems i.e. MAXIMO, WHEMIS AND ORIS.
You will be required to make travel arrangements and prepare travel vouchers.
You will be required to maintain and verify current time program (SLACADA).
You will be required to create and maintain tickets for customer billing actions in MAXIMO.
You will respond to non-technical requests for information regarding office functions, status of reports, duty status of office personnel, or other information available from files.
You will required to order, obtain, and dispense identified material and supplies.

- The position is part of a regionalized command and the incumbent serving in this position may at any time be assigned to a similar position at any site or workstation within the commuting area.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Interpreting and applying transportation program procedures, regulations and administrative publications while performing transportation support work; 2) Using software programs in transportation support work such as asset management software, data tracking software, and travel management software; 3) Interpreting publications and directives in performing transportation support work.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS- There are no unusual physical demands. Work is somewhat sedentary, but requires standing, walking, carrying light items, bending, stooping, climbing, etc. Short deadlines may provide additional stress to working conditions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT- Work is mostly performed in an office setting; however, visits to sites will require working in industrial areas and will require proper protective clothing and equipment. A valid state driver's license is required.
