This position is with the Small Business Administration, Office of Capital Access, Loan Guaranty Processing Center with a duty station of Citrus Heights, CA or Hazard, KY. Serve as a loan processing assistant and is responsible for assisting in evaluating loan applications for program eligibility and creditworthiness.

Duties

Salary by location: This announcement reflects the GS base salary. The actual salary will be based on the selectee's location, grade and step. Citrus Heights, CA: $54,203 - $70,466 Hazard, KY: $49,025 - $63,733 Screens and analyzes less complex loan applications and financial information to determine merits for acceptability of loan request. Screens loan applications to ensure that all required forms and documents are included and properly completed. Assists Loan Specialists in tracking and processing loan applications, appraisals, environmental, or franchise documents pertaining to loan. Inputs loan data and forms into electronic systems, updates the database, and initiates the printing of loan documents. Researches and responds to Certified Development Company (CDC)/Lenders inquiries involving questions of a substantial but non-complex nature, such as the status of a loan application, franchise, appraisal, or modification request. Performs other duties as assigned. This is a bargaining unit position with AFGE Local 228. This is not a drug testing designated position (TDP).

Qualifications

GS-07 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-6 grade level in the Federal service) obtained in either the private or public sector: 1) As a loan processor with responsibility for making regular determinations of completeness and appropriateness of a commercial loan application; AND 2) Utilizing automated systems including the data entry, tracking and processing loan applications with attendant documents such as credit reports, appraisals, business valuations, or environmental reviews pertaining to a commercial loan. These qualifications must be clearly referenced in your resume.
