You will serve as a FABRIC WORKER SUPERVISOR I in the Woodworking Shop, Coating and Services Group, Production Resources Department, of PSNS and IMF.

Duties

You will plan sequence of operations and work steps for employees supervised. You will plan division of workload amongst employees. You will inspect work in progress daily and upon completion to ensure quality, efficiency, economy, and safety of operations. You will estimate materials and equipment required, and coordinate with other trades for services required. You will ensure that work permits, system tag outs, work instructions, drawings, material, and special tooling are on the job site when needed. You will resolve problems, accomplishing routine inspection of work in progress and auditing completed work for compliance with appropriate work procedures.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
