You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST within MARCORSYSCOM.
Duties
You will perform a full complement of budgetary and financial functions and duties as they relate to the budget/financial process and phases to include budget programming, budget formulation and budget execution.
You will be responsible for solving financial issues, defines, establishes, and directs resolution of complex financial issues and assists programs office personnel in dealing with and resolving complex financial problems.
You will work independently and in a team environment and contributes to organizational goals through innovative and creative methodologies and process improvements.
You will advise and assist program office personnel with mastery of concepts, principles, practices, laws and regulations within Congress, Office of Management and Budget, Department of Department of Defense, Military Departments.
You will, as supervisor, plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust priorities, and evaluate work performance of subordinates.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- This is a Financial Management Level III certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- This is a Defense Acquisition Workforce position. Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Business Financial Management (BUS-FM), Advanced acquisition certification within 48 months of hire in accordance with DOD Instruction 5000.66.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or NH-3 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: interpreting and applying financial laws, polices, and directives and advising on budget formulation and execution of financial management programs.
