The primary purpose of this position is to serve as senior cost/operations research lead in the AFPEO/BES/GBB Division at Maxwell AFB Gunter Annex, AL.

Duties

- Cost estimating/analysis duties, to include, Program Office Estimates (POE), Independent Government Estimates (IGCE), and special studies; building and delivering the annual POEs for coordination and approval to the AFLCMC/FZC cost chief, or designee, prior to the Program Objective Memorandum (POM) submission. Validates Cost and Software Data Reporting (CSDR) CDRL submissions. Reconciles estimates with the Air Force Cost Analysis Agency as required. - Oversees and/or supports source selection cost panel activities for business systems' software acquisitions. - Utilizes cost methodologies, applies software estimation tools and software applications to perform various analyses and cross-checks. - Prepares and maintains detailed cost documentation appropriate for all cost projects and deliverables supported. - Supports organizational peer and sufficiency reviews across various directorate programs' POEs, EAs, special studies efforts, etc., - Works collegially with integration lead, budget leads, program managers, and contractors across two geographically separate locations (MAFB Gunter-Annex, Montgomery, AL and WPAFB, OH).

Ability to develop and utilize appropriate data collection techniques, and design, build, and use models and simulation techniques. 6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; negotiate complex issues; and maintain good working relations.
