About the Position: Sierra Army Depot is located in Herlong CA, a rural town in Northern California. Employees work a 4/10 work week, Mon-Thurs, 0630-1700 hrs. Youth Facilities and daily childcare available. The depot serves as an Army Expeditionary Logistical Support Center, (Mass transportation is available at minimal cost.)
Duties
Coordinates and assists in the development of capital equipment replacement and rehabilitation plan for assigned functional areas.
Reviews documentation to identify equipment requirements for mission programs.
Imitates requests for capital, production, and test equipment based om production and modernization requirements.
Prepares requests for fabrication, modification, relocation, and installation of equipment.
Maintains a thorough knowledge of assigned functional areas, including operations and processes performed.

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Defense Industrial Base (DIB) and Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Specialized Experience: 1. Developing equipment replacement plans for the final implementation 2. Performing equipment maintenance to ensure program requirements are met and , 3. Preparing cost analysis to justify equipment costs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in Engineering, Industrial Arts, Property Management, or Business Administration.

Combination: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
