About the Position: This position is located at the U.S. Army National Guard Readiness Center, G-4, Logistics OPS/STRG/INT Division, Assessment Branch, in Arlington, Virginia. About the Surrounding Area: Situated in Northern Virginia on the south bank of the Potomac River directly across from Washington D.C. Arlington is headquarters to many departments and agencies of the federal government, including the Department of Defense and is the location of many national memorials and museums.

Duties

Serve as a senior technical expert for all logistics systems on matters relating to the identification and development of functional requirements. Serve as a project leader or working group leader on specific projects or initiatives. Serve as principal advisor to the logistics compliance assessment Branch Chief and staff on all aspects of logistics management.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes communicating with users and programming experts while negotiating on logistic systems requirements and implementing logistic system changes or new systems; applying qualitative and quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of logistic processes and procedures; developing new methods of receiving, storing, retrieving and formatting logistics data in new and developing environments; integrating key aspects of logistics support, such as force, supply, maintenance, transportation, into multi-functional automated applications; leading team members on projects or as a participant in conferences, meetings, or briefings. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Planning and EvaluatingProject ManagementTechnical Data Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
