About the Position: Manages the Army Public Health Center's (APHC) Surety Medicine Program training accreditation.
Duties
Documents course content, instructor credentials, conflict-of-interest reviews, faculty disclosures, venue criteria, student requirements, course evaluations, and other required elements.
Checks that surety training courses are completed and documented as required.
Collects, compiles, reviews, edits, records, transmits and maintains all information necessary to produce required documentation of Continuing Medical Education (CME) approved courses and training.
Prepares administrative content and support packets (rosters, signage, name cards and tags, exams, answer keys, course-completion certificates etc.) for faculty use at training events/courses.
Assist Course Directors in coordinating training materials procurement and provision to training events.
Develops and conducts a variety of presentations and briefings on CME requirements and procedures.
Assists with quality reviews and editing of other surety medicine program reports and products.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- May be expected to travel 15% of the time for this position.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s). Supervising or administering a training program. Development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results. Work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
