This Job is located in the paint shop facilities section, engineering service. This shop is responsible for all painting and glazing, and other job related to the painting trade for this station.
Duties
Major Duties Include:
Operates spray equipment and responsible to keep conventional sprayer and airless sprayer in good repair.
Repairs and installs fire-related walls using appropriate layers of drywall and fire-related compound.
Prepares surfaces by wire brushing, scraping, spackling, puttying, removing paint, smoothing, leveling, filling, shaping, caulking and applying special solvents.
Creates special effects, such as smoothing out brush and roller marks and creating fine textured finishes.
Protects floors, hardware and furnishings by the use of drop cloths, plastics, paper and tape.
Prepares coating materials by tinting, matching, blending, thinning, stirring and mixing in various additives.
Applies various coating materials such as paints, varnishes, shellacs and lacquers with brushes, rollers, spray guns, razor blades, and other related methods and techniques.
Work Schedule: 7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday
