About the Position: This position is located at Fort Moore right outside of the Columbus, GA and Phenix City, AL. It is 98 miles from Atlanta, GA and 93 miles from Montgomery, AL.
Duties
Develop and establish systems and procedures for Force Health Protection.
Provide program input to manage and incorporate unit readiness requirements into automated medical and personnel systems, such as MEDPROS, to track and record medical status of the supported population.
Develop policy for implementation, identifies standards, incorporates business practices and procedures required to effectively report unit and individual medical readiness status for the Battalion.
Coordinate with installation Medical Readiness and Soldier Readiness Support elements to conduct reviews of current medical readiness statistics and provide analysis of requirements and deficiencies.
Provide for controls of narcotics and other sensitive pharmaceuticals as required by law and regulation, ICW the unit Surgeon.
Request and Coordinate for Class VIII medical supplies to maintain or replenish medical equipment stocks.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position is a Testing Drug Position (TDP) subject to applicant testing and random drug testing as a condition of employment.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes; 1) Conducting reviews of personnel records to attain deployment readiness and using automated personnel systems to track the medical status of individuals in the organization; 2) Providing input for budget programming requirements; 3) Conducting training to ensure compliance with medical readiness requirements; 4) Assisting with receipt and processing of Class VIII medical supplies such as blood, and blood products from external units; 5) Providing for control of narcotics or other sensitive pharmaceuticals as required by regulation.

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
