You will serve as a FACILITY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST in the Public Works Department of NAVFAC NORTHWEST.

Duties

You will develop, plan, and coordinate repair/renovation initiatives and requirements. You will input work requests into a computer (e.g., MAXIMO) to manage facility operations projects. You will brief customers on the different facility processes (e.g., requesting work, funding jobs, policies) concerning an organization. You will attend contractor site visits, pre-construction meetings, and required interim meetings. You will coordinate field inspections to complete facility maintenance projects.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• The employee may be required to work overtime, and call back and emergency overtime are regular requirements of this position.
• You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent graduate degree

OR

Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

OR

Possession of an LL.M., if related

OR

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
