About the Position: This position is located in Quantico Virgina, HQ Financial & Business operations Directorate, Mid-Atlantic. All candidates should reside within the local commuting area where the position is located. Local commuting area is defined as the geographic area surrounding a work site that encompasses the localities where people live and reasonably can be expected to travel back and forth daily to work based on the generally held expectations of the local community. (5 CFR 575.203)

Duties

Disinfects restrooms to include urinals, toilet bowls, and sinks. Dusts, waxes, and/or polishes furniture and fixtures. Empties waste baskets. Responsible for requesting cleaning supplies through Maintenance Supervisor. Sets up and tears down for special events or assemblies. Adjusts and/or performs minor maintenance to attachments on power equipment. Ensures that needed materials and tools are available on site for workers to complete daily duties. Ensures that needed materials and tools are available on site for workers to complete daily duties. Demonstrates proper work methods. Responsible for ensuring that school is clean and ready for the next day. Provides updates to supervisor on status and progress of work.

Requirements

• Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.

• One year trial or probationary period may be required.

Care must be taken to avoid serious injury when working on ladders and scaffolds or when using heavy powered equipment.
