Duties

You will assist in the development of the base master plan, providing comprehensive information relative to utility systems. land usage, site development, circulation plans, and future Combat Center Requirements. You will translate or convert the technical requirements into understandable layman language and be capable of explaining applicable planning principles. You will prepare point papers, briefings and reports to define, elevate and recommend alternatives for management review and action. You will conduct oral briefings for the command.

  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

GS-8 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting with facilities planning documents, coordinating with tenant activities regarding community development, using various computer tracking programs (e.g. Shore Facilities, Military Construction, Global Information Systems (GIS)); and providing customer education on the facility planning process. GS-7 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting with facilities planning documents, using various computer tracking programs (e.g. Shore Facilities, Military Construction, GIS); and provides project status to customers.
