You will serve as a DIVISION PROCESS MANAGER in the Lifting and Handling Department (C/200) of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR.

Duties

You will serve as the the management authority for the code 200 Lifting and Handling Departments’ non-nuclear program. You will maintain overall responsibility for establishing, documenting, and communicating work processes used in the division(s) and has experience in crane and rigging operations. You will develop short and long-range plans to provide manning, facilities, material, and equipment to support scheduled and unscheduled urgent work for the organizations covered. You will manage, through subordinate first and second-level supervisors, the nonnuclear crane and rigging operations work of the division(s)/trade(s) assigned. You will ensure that subordinate lifting and handling supervisors carry out policies in labor and employee relations.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: overseeing trade shop processes and performance improvement programs that support crane operations and rigging processes including planning, quality assurance, execution, trade process management, management of resources and continuous training and development in order to ensure resources are available to meet project schedules.
