About the Position: This is a permanent position is in the Headquarters, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Directorate of Military Programs, Integration Division located at GAO Building, 441 G St., NW, Washington, D.C., U.S. 20548.
Duties
Exercising management and operational control over construction programs/projects.
Develops standard methods and procedures to be used throughout the agency in managing projects and funds.
Provides program guidance and reviews construction directives for reasonableness of cost, conformance with criteria, and compliance with policies and procedures.
Monitors the progress of priority and/or high visibility projects and keeps informed of progress through the review of reports, programming documents, construction directives, funds authorization documents, and other program material.
Develops and establishes policies to facilitate implementation of program initiatives.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) exercising management and operational control over construction, sustainment, restoration and modernization, and/or environmental projects; 2) developing and disseminating regulations and policy related to design and construction management work; 3) developing and submitting budgets for design/construction funds; and 4) applying problem solving techniques to resolve problems relating to design and construction delays, excessive costs, and other technical problems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
